Date for payment for all the three above exams is from 12th to 16th July 2010.

We shall now be adopting the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) as per CBSE guidelines.
What is CCE?
It refers to a system of school based evaluation that covers all aspects of student’s development.
Continuous is meant to emphasize on evaluation of identified aspects of students growth and development which is a continuous process spread over the entire span of an academic session.
Comprehensive means the scheme attempts to cover both the scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of student’s growth and development. Scholastic areas include subjects like languages, Science, Maths, Social Studies, Art, Work Experience, Physical and Health Education. Co-Scholastic areas are Life Skills, Attitudes and Values.
Assessment Details :
Six assessments are proposed in an academic year:

Formative Assessment II & IV may be based on projects, activities, worksheets, class tests, debates, elocution, group discussion or other relevant activities as the subject demands.
Summative Tests I & II shall be a pen paper test for 80 marks each.

SUNDAY MILITARY TRAINING
We are pleased to introduce Sunday Military Training for the students of Std.VI to VIII by Jidnyasa Trust a NGO working for child upliftment. Some of the activities conducted by Jidnyasa are National Science Congress, Bal Vigyan Movement, Science Exploratory Centre etc.
AIM :-
This training is aimed at inculcating highest sense of discipline, develop stamina, improve personality and achieve overall growth.
SUBJECTS / ACTIVITIES :-
Military training to the cadets, Trekking, Mountaineering, Rock Climbing, Jungle Training, Rifle Shooting, March Past, Drill, Unarmed Combat (Self Defence), Visit to Armed Forces Installation etc.
VENUE :-
DAV Public School,
Tulsidham , Thane (West) (only Sundays)
TIMING :- 7.00 am. to 11.30 am.
Students who are interested may give their names to the Class Teachers by 22.04.2010 positively.

SCOUT & GUIDE :-
